About Gypsy & Boy

Gypsy & Boy jewellery stands have captured the essence of form and function. Each design in our bespoke range of stands has its own style and form, scale and capacity.

Gypsy & Boy is the creation of Adelaide trio and good friends from way back - Melanie Merlino, Michael Merlino and Emma Fey. Each individual has brought their unique perspective to the brand and product range to come up with a collection that's designed to meet different needs. And the plan is to keep the range continually evolving and expanding. 

We appreciate beautiful objects and form.  Great design is at the heart of our work.

Why are we doing this?

Melanie and Emma have a long standing obsession with accessories - particularly jewellery. Vast collections are hard to store well, especially in a way that allows you to see, at a glance, the perfect piece needed to complement your outfit. This was when Michael's skills came into the fore. Our sketches translated into beautifully designed and crafted pieces that are lightweight and strong, attractive and purposeful.

Our search for a product both functional and attractive revealed that while some options might tick one box, they rarely ticked both. And so Gypsy & Boy was born - to deliver products that value form and function. 

About the range and when will it be available?

We have developed a bespoke range to launch Gypsy & Boy. Each design has its own style and form, scale and capacity.

To quote one of our customers "I love that my accessories can be arranged so they're within easy reach, while becoming a display in their own right." 

OUR ETHOS

Quality of materials and ethical production is incredibly important to us. We are passionate about supporting Australian artists, makers and manufactures. 

All of the products in our range are made using FSC-certified white birch ply.  

How can I buy?

Our products will be available to purchase via the Etsy market place around mid-August 2016 so keep an eye on this space. In the meantime, you can get in touch by filling out our contact form or find us at one of the upcoming markets around South Australia.
